Costumes worn by Kenneth Branagh, Harry Styles and Fionn Whitehead
in the Warner Bros. Pictures release go on display
Located in the secret wartime tunnels beneath the castle, where the massive rescue attempt at Dunkirk was conceived in May-June 1940, the costumes of three principal characters; Tommy, played by Fionn Whitehead, Alex, played by Harry Styles and Commander Bolton, played by Kenneth Branagh will be on exclusive UK display. Having opened on the first day of the castle’s annual spectacular, the WW2 Weekend, the exhibition will run until the end of August.
English Heritage Senior Curator, Rowena Willard Wright said: “We are delighted to host this exclusive pop-up exhibition in conjunction with this new film. Dover Castle’s Secret War time tunnels are an ideal location, as they were when Admiral Ramsay masterminded the ‘miracle of Dunkirk’. He, and the men and women of the Royal Navy, worked around the clock to muster all available shipping, from naval destroyers to pleasure steamers, in order support his Senior Naval Officer in Dunkirk, Captain Tennant and to provide the life-line that saved over 338,000 allied troops.”

The film is being produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas (“Interstellar,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), with Jake Myers (“The Revenant,” “Interstellar,” “Jack Reacher”) serving as executive producer.
The behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema (“Interstellar,” “Spectre,” “The Fighter”), production designer Nathan Crowley (“Interstellar,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), editor Lee Smith (“The Dark Knight” Trilogy, “Elysium”), costume designer Jeffrey Kurland (“Inception,” “Bullets Over Broadway”), and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson (“Mad Max: Fury Road”).
