Visit The National Apple Festival at Brogdale on the 17 + 18 October 2020 for a breathtaking display of apple varieties. Discover over 2000 varieties in the Brogdale orchards and enjoy all things apple over the weekend. 10am – 5pm
Discover something new and tasty with ‘try before you buy’ rare and heritage apple varieties, fill a bag with your favourites to take home! Guided tours of the orchards, horticultural talks, apple pressing demonstrations and a programme of cooking demonstrations all weekend.
Enjoy local food, browse the craft and produce on offer and meet the experts to have your apples identified plus lots of family fun!
There will be interesting talks over the weekend – meet the scientists from Reading University who are conducting climate change trials in the orchards, and subjects from beekeeping, Kentish wildflowers to pruning.
Watch a cooking demo, and use our apple juicing service – bring your excess apples and a container and our volunteers will help you make juice.
Kids will have plenty of fun, with a falconry display axe throwing and archery, vintage tractors , Faversham Mini Railway, face painting, longest apple peel competition, apple on a string, crafts, apple trail and kids cookery over an open fire.
Artisan food traders will keep your tummies full, local brewers will be selling their wares, and Faversham Brass, Invicta Jazz, Jumbo Gumbo and Samba Pelo will keep your toes tapping all weekend long.
