18th February to 21st February at Royal Engineers Museum
The Royal Engineers Museum collections link to rats in many unexpected ways. Our Chinese collections demonstrate Chinese zodiac animal signs and Chinese New Year 2020 marks the Year of the Rat, the first in the order of all the signs.
In the First World War soldiers were living in trenches among the rats, some of which were size of cats! Ring in the Year of the Rat and join us this week to create your own rat hand puppet, ready for some rat inspired play.
Activities run from 11am to 3pm each day & cost £2.50 in addition to standard admission prices. A £0.50 discount is available with Museum Friends’ membership or Snob the Dog loyalty card.
