4th July at Canterbury Cathedral
Canterbury’s fifth annual Medieval Pageant and Trail will commemorate Henry II’s pilgrimage to Canterbury in 1174.
This colourful parade features historical characters, local schools and community and re-enactment groups, giants, music and medieval mayhem for all ages (even middle-ages!).
This event is part of our 2020 commemorations, marking the dual anniversaries of Becket’s murder 850 years ago and the translation of his body from a tomb in the Crypt to a magnificent shrine in the Trinity Chapel 800 years ago.
