We’re excited to announce a series of Museum Open Days this September. You’ll have the opportunity to visit Quex House & Gardens and The Powell-Cotton Museum, join talks and tours throughout the day, and experience the ‘Interbeing – No Interdependent Origins’ ceramic and sound art exhibition in Quex House- all included in your ticket. You can choose your tours and sign up on arrival (please note that spaces will be limited).
- 11am – ‘Colonial Critters’ project tour with Rachel, Curator of Natural History
- 12 noon – Introducing the ‘Sunshine Project’ in Quex Gardens with Sue, Head Gardener
- 2pm – ‘Ethiopian Display – A Reimagining Case Study’ with Inbal, Head of Collections and Engagement
- All day in Quex House – Interbeing- No Interdependent Origins ceramic and sound art exhibition.
Prices – please book your ticket in advance to secure your entry time. Tickets will be available on the door but there may be a wait for entrance so we can manage capacity.

Surestart Loyalty Card Under 5: Free
Surestart Loyalty Card Over 5’s: £1
Museum Members: Free
If you are a Powell-Cotton Museum member, your ticket will be free, and you still need to book in advance. If you are a Surestart loyalty cardholder, you will pay £1 for everyone over 5, under 5s are free. Advance booking is still recommended. Member, NUS and Surestart cardholders must present their cards on arrival to guarantee entry. All tickets are non-transferable.
