15th September to the 16th September at The Historic Dockyard Chatham
Travel back in time to the 1940s on the 15th & 16th September at The Historic Dockyard Chatham with Salute to the ‘40s. Back bigger and better than ever, The Dockyard will have vintage music filling the air from The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, The Polka Dots Dolls, the D-Day Darlings (as seen on Britain’s Got Talent 2018) and many more!
If you don’t have the perfect 40s attire for the weekend, don’t worry as there will be plenty of shopping opportunities from in the retro fashion fair. For those that really want the 1940s experience you can also get your hair styled in the salon or barbers!
And when you need to quench that thirst, don’t miss out on the vintage cocktails and bars around the site, which also make perfect photo opportunities. If you’re hungry also fear not, for this event there are no rations, from vintage tea rooms, homemade pies to a delicious raclette, there is a variety of food to choose from; nothing is off limits.
There will be lots of family fun too! Watch the vehicle and fashion parades, see the running steam trains as well as the usual Dockyard galleries and sites plus much more!
