23rd May to 25th May at Dover Castle
This May bank holiday, get ready to be transported back to 1940s as Dover Castle’s renowned WWII Weekend returns with more action than ever before!
Discover what life was like on the front line and the home front. Meet soldiers from both sides of the conflict, see demonstrations of their equipment and weapons, and witness an epic battle re-enactment featuring earth-shaking pyrotechnics and a magnificent selection of vintage army vehicles.
Away from the front line, there’ll be even more to explore. Get dolled up with a victory roll hairdo from the 1940s beauty parlour and jive to live music at our performance tent throughout the day. There’s plenty for kids to enjoy too, from a life sized replica Spitfire to daring war stories and the Sergeant’s infamous assault course.
