The Medway Gaming Festival will take over the iconic Historic Dockyard Chatham for an unforgettable weekend of gaming, technology, and entertainment.

 The festival promises an array of adventurous activities that cater to every gamer’s interests:

  • Gaming Extravaganza: Explore the latest and greatest in the gaming world with cutting-edge technology, VR experiences, and a diverse range of gaming platforms, from legendary retro games to the hottest new releases.
  • Tech Zone: Step into the future with our Tech Zone partners, showcasing the latest innovations in gaming hardware, software, and virtual reality.
  • Esports Tournaments: Witness intense esports battles as top players compete for glory and fantastic prizes, creating a thrilling atmosphere for both casual observers and seasoned esports enthusiasts.
  • Military Simulations: Engage in fun family activities and learn more about the roles within the military, including flight simulators, ground operations, and testing out the latest gear.
  • Cosplay: Unleash your inner character and come dressed as your favourite gaming hero. Join the cosplay parade, compete in the costume contest, meet like-minded enthusiasts who share your passion for all things geeky, learn new skills in the cosplay village and engage in our dedicated cosplay stage. The Cosplay Masquerade will be taking place at on the Saturday and aims to give cosplayers the opportunity to gain experience in cosplaying, show off a fantastic costume or simply come up on stage and perform in character, with prizes for the winners.
  • Film and TV Guests: This year celebrity guests will be attending for the very first time in celebration of The Historic Dockyard Chatham’s status as a major filming location. From actors to motion capture artists, voice actors to stunt performers and creature artists. Confirmed stars so far include: Julian Seagar (Vikings Valhalla, Fisherman’s Friends & Election Night), Josh Wichard (voice of Tav 1 in the game Baldur’s Gate 3), Shelley Bond (voice artist for Lara Croft in Tomb Raider) Chris Bunn (prolific background actor) and Kenny-Lee Mbanefo (prolific background actor).
  • Retroland Exhibition: Experience an interactive journey across the history of video gaming, including period dioramas, gaming stations, and special gaming features created just for this exhibition.
  • Stage Shows: Enjoy a range of stage shows, from live music to fun interactive stage shows, talks, and panel discussions.
