From Saturday 24 July – Tuesday 31 August, British wildlife conservation charity, Wildwood Trust, will be treating visitors to a jam-packed six weeks of Summer fun.

Helping families make memories to last a lifetime after 18 months of lockdowns, the Herne Bay park, will be offering everything from interactive crafts and talks about iconic species to animal feeding sessions and the chance to watch birds of prey take flight.  There will even be bushcraft classes, including fire-lighting, arrow-making, weaving and braiding, and navigation and direction finding.

Children and big kids will also be able to get up-close with Wildwood’s furry and feathered residents. Long-time favourites, Fluff and Scruff – the park’s rescued brown bears – will be ready to welcome visitors, fresh from celebrating their 23^rd birthdays on 15 July.  There’ll be a chance to watch them feed and as well as seeing them amble about their 1.5 acre woodland home from the exhilarating heights of the bear bridge.

Eagle-eyed visitors might even spot some new faces at the park with the recent arrival of baby storks and a newborn fawn called Bonnie, who can often be spotted on her daily walk, trotting loyally behind keeper Stu, who she’s decided is her new mum!

For those looking for an unforgettable child-free night, Wildwood is also offering summer evening walks surrounded by British wildlife. With limited tickets available, wild evenings out have taken on a whole new and exclusive meaning. Limited tickets remain  available and can be reserved online.
