The results from the Great Taste Awards have now been announced, with Solley’s scooping a one star award for Lemon Meringue Ice Cream!  The judges commented they “love the product idea and were really excited to try” the Lemon Meringue ice cream, finding it “a pleasant ice cream with a broad appeal”.

The awards, which are regarded as the most influential awards for the food & drink industry saw over 12,500 entries this year, each of which went through a rigorous judging process involving 500 expert judges.  Just 3,402 entries were awarded a sought after 1*, indicating a product which is “Simply delicious” and delivers “fantastic flavour”.

Keith Morrison, managing director, commented “We are extremely proud to have been awarded a Great Taste Award this year, for a flavour which we feel is a little different and delicious!  All of our ice cream is made in small batches here on the farm, so we will be working hard to make sure we have the lemon meringue ice cream in plentiful supply for all to enjoy!”
