This year’s Great Taste Awards results are out and our Clearly Juice Red Love Apple Juice has been awarded two gold stars!  One of the world’s most coveted food & drink awards, this year saw 12,772 products sent in from over 100 different countries.

Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs, buyers, retailers and producers, as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers. As well as a badge of honour, the unmistakeable black and gold Great Taste label is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product, which has been discovered through hours and hours of blind tasting by hundreds of judges.

The panel of judges this year included; cook, writer and champion of sustainable food, Melissa Hemsley, Kenny Tutt, MasterChef 2018 champion, author, Olia Hercules, chef and food writer, Gill Meller, Kavi Thakar from Dishoom, food writer and stylist, Georgina Hayden and author and chef, Zoe Adjonyoh, as well as food buyers from Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason, Sourced Market and Partridges.

This year, just 1,326 of the products entered received a sought after two star award, indicating a product which is “above & beyond delicious”.  Judge’s feedback for Clearly Juice Red Love Apple Juice included “A good example of apple juice, and very flavoursome”,  “Loaded with fresh and clean apple flavour that is well balanced” and “Beautiful taste of summer!”

The Clearly Juice range was rebranded & relaunched earlier this year, making it all the more exciting to have a scooped a Great Taste Award.  Biddenden is also the only producer of Red Love Apple juice, which is the UK’s first & only commercially available naturally red juice, grown by AG Thames at East Malling Research.  The juice is available to buy direct from Biddenden Vineyards’ shop, at selected independent retailers throughout the South East and online for home delivery.
