On 31st October the Government announced new lockdown guidelines to take effect from 5th November. Having reviewed Government guidance on outdoor public places, we are pleased to confirm that Great Comp Garden will be open as planned from Thursday – Saturday (11am – 3pm) throughout November. Please note that Government advice on the rule of six has changed. You can visit an outdoor public place – with the people you live with, with your support bubble or, when on your own, with one person from another household. Did you know that spending time in nature has been found to significantly help our wellbeing? According to the charity ‘Mind’ spending time in a garden can improve your mood, reduce feelings of stress or anger, help you take time out and feel more relaxed, improve your physical health and improve your confidence and self-esteem. During these challenging times, Great Comp are pleased to provide a safe, calm, beautiful and relaxing space for our local community to enjoy, and look forward to welcoming visitors this November. Our tearoom will be operating a takeaway service including delicious homemade soups and snacks. Our standard admission fees will apply, and entry will be free for Great Comp Garden annual pass holders. We’ve also extended our *FREE entry for RHS members into November (*T&C’s apply). Dyson’s Nurseries at Great Comp are now closed for the 2020 season. You do not need to pre-book to visit us this November, find out more about visiting us by clicking on the link below. | |
