28th June to 20th December at Royal Engineers Museum
The Royal Engineers Museum is proud to unveil an exhibition drawing on the original plans and artefacts of the legendary Mulberry Harbours — a daring solution that changed the course of history.
Thanks to a £233,976 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, thousands of wartime blueprints, models, and even an original anchor are being conserved and digitised for the first time since 1944!
These floating harbours enabled the landing of 220,000 troops, 40,000 vehicles, and 680,000 tons of supplies in Normandy — a feat of engineering brilliance.
