Wildwood Kent Gears up for a Bloomin’ Marvellous Easter Holiday

The bears are back, the bees are buzzing and the blossom trees are blooming as the popular wildlife park unveils a budding line-up for some family fun this Spring

From Saturday 2 April – Monday 18th April, Kent’s most egg-cellent animal park, Wildwood, will be helping visitors put a spring in their step with a host of fun activities and a line-up of furry favourites.

In celebration of the coming of Spring and the joys of natural rebirth, around 800 newly planted native trees – the majority of which are expected to be in bloom – will provide the perfect backdrop for a family photo (or instagram shot) that can be cherr-ished for years to come.

Eagle-eyed visitors may even be able to spot a glimpse of some new additions which could include baby boars, chough chicks, and baby storks if we’re lucky!. Meanwhile, some old favourites will be rearing their heads in the form of Eurasian brown bear brothers Fluff and Scruff. Fresh outta torpor, the popular duo will be reemerging after a near four-month hibernation.

For those looking to learn more about some of the park’s magnificent animals, there’ll be a host of daily educational talks (and some animal feeds) on everything from the bison and the bears to the owls and the otters.*

Daily activities for young animal enthusiasts will also be on offer with touch tables and craft workshops all on the line-up. And ahead of the highly anticipated launch of the ground-breaking Wilder Blean project – which will see bison released into Blean Woods later this year –  there will also be a bison trail. The trail will explore the role of bison as ecosystem engineers and the role they can play in helping to combat climate change.
