About the Day
Begin the day with an introduction to floristry with Holly and make your own wreath base from natural willow – a fundamental skill for future wreath making! Explore the beautiful orchards at Brogdale learning what foliage can be foraged and best used in wreath-making. Holly will point out what to look out for, what will stay fresh, and what you can dry at home. Forage and create your fresh moss base before sharing a light lunch and refreshments. Continue foraging in the afternoon, gathering your fresh materials before arranging them perfectly around your base. Holly will be on hand at all times to help you create a stunning fresh autumn/winter wreath to take home. You are welcome to bring any unique items you may wish to add to your wreath from home but this is not compulsory. All materials will be provided or foraged but you might want to wear gloves and bring secateurs.
Tools required: Flower scissors or secateurs. Gardening gloves.
