29th March to the 23rd April at Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery
The MVAN (Maidstone Visual Arts Network) group of artists showing under the title ‘Interpretations’ vary in their materials: several are painters, whether in oils, acrylics or mixed media. Others use textiles and/or paper to make 3-dimensional pieces. They also vary from imaginative landscapes to abstracts, work from life or dream material.
All express a mood, feeling or atmosphere, often through metaphor. It is hoped that viewers will interpret these in terms of their own experiences.
