The Big FRIENDly Sing at Canterbury Cathedral

Come along to Canterbury Cathedral and sing Mozart’s Requiem from scratch! Under the baton of Dr David Newsholme, Director of Music, with Adrian Bawtree, Acting Assistant Organist as accompanist. There will be a rehearsal in the morning and an early evening performance with professional soloists.

Strictly limited to 200 singers. Book your place on Eventbrite.

£20 to sing with own musical score, £25 to sing with hired music on the day. We shall be using the New Novello Score.

Timetable for the day:

  • 10.30 Registration in the Chapter House
  • 11.15-13.00 Rehearsal in the Nave led by Dr David Newsholme, Director of Music at
  • Canterbury Cathedral, Accompanied by Adrian Bawtree, Acting Assistant Organist
  • 14.00-16.00 Rehearsal with soloists, Lay Clerks & Choristers
  • 16.00-17:00 Tea, Coffee, and Cakes will be available in the Chapter House
  • 18.00 Performance (Dress informal, but all black please)
