Chislehurst Caves

Thirty metres below the edge of north west Kent is a maze of chalk tunnels.

Join a guide on a fascinating 45 minute lamp-lit tour where you can hear of the romantic Victorian stories of the Druids, Romans and Saxons. Learn about the guarded munitions stores of World War I, mushroom growing in the 1930s, the deep air raid shelter and underground town of World War II, the haunted passages and the music venue of the 1950s and 60s.

Tours run every hour and the visitor centre includes a café, gift shop, picnic area and a free car and coach park.
