One of the best regional museums in the South East with significant collections especially Ethnography, Ancient Egypt, Archaeology and Costume and one of the finest collections of Japanese art in the country.
Don’t miss the Ancient Lives Gallery, a multi-sensory experience with an amazing facial reconstruction of Ta-Kush, a 2700-year-old Egyptian mummy, the only one in Kent! Triple the Fun! The museum also houses the splendour of the Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regimental Museum as well as the Carriage Museum, located opposite Archbishops’ Palace (open April to September).

The ground floor of the Museum is fully accessible, and lifts can provide access to most of the first floor galleries. There are accessible toilets on both floors.
