Autumn Contemporary Craft Fair Returns to Hever Castle

This September, the historic grounds of Hever Castle will once again be transformed into a vibrant showcase of contemporary design and artisan craftsmanship as the Autumn Contemporary Craft Fair returns from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th September 2026.

Set against the stunning backdrop of one of Kent’s most iconic heritage destinations, this four-day event brings together creativity, craftsmanship and the very best of British making in an immersive outdoor experience for visitors of all ages.

A Celebration of Making and Design

Across the Castle grounds, visitors can explore more than 180 independent exhibitors, offering a rich and diverse selection of handcrafted work. From delicate glassware and intricate jewellery to textiles, woodwork, ceramics, metalwork and original artwork, the fair provides a rare opportunity to meet makers in person and purchase directly from the source.

Each piece reflects exceptional skill, imagination and dedication, with both emerging British talent and established designer-makers represented throughout the event.

Demonstrations and Garden Art

Outside the marquees and throughout the grounds, visitors will discover exhibitors showcasing sculpture, garden art and traditional craft skills. Demonstrations will take place throughout the event, offering fascinating insight into the creative process behind the finished work.

Featured demonstrators include Crow and Oak Crafts with traditional pole lathe turning, basket maker Hatton Willow, sculptor David Cooke demonstrating sculpture techniques, and Orchard Blacksmith showcasing the art of blacksmithing.

Food, Drink and Artisan Flavours

This year’s expanded food and drink marquees will offer visitors even more opportunities to discover and sample exceptional artisan produce from across the UK and beyond. Exhibitors include Hillside House Honey and Hot Star Honey with its range of specially crafted hot honey sauces, alongside Jinger Drinks, New Forest Shortbread and Mud Pies.

Visitors can also enjoy Mediterranean specialities from Kotinos Foods, including Greek and Turkish baklava, Turkish delight, olives, dried fruits and sweet and savoury nuts. Other highlights include premium hand-ground spices from Silk Road Blends, authentic Asian snacks and curries from The Curry Man, and single-estate extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars from The Gift of Oil.

For those looking for savoury treats, The Giggly Pig Company will be offering handmade sausages, while The Truckle Cheese Co will showcase its popular range of farmhouse cheese truckles and chutneys. A selection of artisan spirits will also be available, including O’Donnell Moonshine and Silent Pool Gin.

Live Music

Visitors can enjoy live music every day from British blues, rock and Americana singer-songwriter Ian Fox. Having collaborated with and shared the stage alongside several established musicians throughout his career, Ian brings a distinctive blend of original material and crowd-pleasing favourites, providing the perfect soundtrack as visitors explore the fair, browse the exhibitors and enjoy the atmosphere of the Castle grounds.
